Отсюдачитать дальшеOkay, so me, my sister Lisa, and our friends Emma and Patsie went to the Children's Monologues last night, and we had a great time.
We met Benedict before the play.
He was just as lovely as last time!
We got to the theatre for 3pm and decided we'd wait outside for a bit cos as we arrived (we were gonna go to the pub The Stage Door near by and watch some football) but as we walked past, Ben came out for a cigarette! It was pouring with rain though so we just stood back and watched him. So gorgeous. He looked over and smiled at us. I think he was wondering why we didnt go over to him but he was with someone else and we didn't want to intrude. He also got on his phone as he was about to go inside so we didnt go up to him then either. After that, we decided to wait around incase he came out again for another smoke and if it stopped raining, we'd go over to him and say hi. We went under some cover and met two lovely ladies Tracy and Charlotte, who ended up keeping us company all afternoon
We had a great time!
At about 5pm, we moved closer to the stage door to wait as people were going in and out a lot. We saw Gemma Arterton and had a chat, and Danny Boyle waved at us from inside
Then, Benedict was at the top of the stairs, Tracy waved at him and he smiled, and disappeared. He must have gone to get his coat though, cos he came straight down the stairs wearing it to see us
God, he's adorable.
He came out and said hi but apologised that he didnt have a lot of time as they were all so busy. There were about 8 of us out there at this point. He signed autographs for us all, I said to him that Patsie and I met him at the Tinker Tailor set, and he looked at me, smiled and said he remembered and i thanked him again for coming over that day cos it meant a lot to us and he said we were very welcome. We all got photos with him then (YAY!) and he held me so close to him and smelt lovely!! He's just so gorgeous. One of our photos didnt come out and he didnt even mind posing with my friend again so she could get another one. God, I love him. My sister Lisa told him Sherlock was amazing and he thanked her.
We then all thanked him and he called goodbye to us and then rushed off. Still easily one of the nicest guys Ive ever met!!!!
I'll post pics later, if you'd like to see
The play itself was really insteresting though hard to watch/listen to at times cos the stories were so dark and upsetting. Basically, each actor either played a part (or did a reading) written by a child. God, the stories were harrowing. Benedict played Shephard, who was a volunteer for a christian movement (I think) and he had a conversation with an imaginary child called Innocent. He was trying to help him but couldnt get through to him. In was funny in places, very very moving in others. Benedict was amazing. I know Im biased but his little section was the best. Everyone did a great job though. I asnt too keen on Ben Kingsleys bit if Im honest. His reading was a bit odd, and he seemed to keep losing his place. I think it would have been more powerful if read by a younger person. Also thought Tom, Charlie Cox and (forgive me for not knowing names,) but some of the ladies were incredible. The sixteen yr old girl who was gangraped on her birthday, the girl whose boyfriend cheated on her but she kept the control (she was amazing) and also the girl who got aids from her "gangster" boyfriend Beazie. So devastating. All in all, I had a great night and it was a bit of a taster for what it will be like seeing Ben in the play Frankenstein next year!!!!
